| Sounds like he's talking about his finger getting pinched between the cutout in the trigger guard and the trigger, not trigger slap. My CZ-75B had wicked trigger slap. Dry firing it 20 times or so would make my trigger finger numb. I haven't experienced any slap with the VP9. But the 'pinch' seems to be a common complaint. |

Anyone who shoots more than 50 rounds out of the vp9 knows what he is talking about. The trigger surface is like sandpaper I've had 3 good range trips so far, and about a dozen dry fire sessions. Each trip was 200+ in ammo, and I haven't had the smallest complaint about any discomfort or pain associated with the trigger; surface roughness, safety pinching, a slap or otherwise. I have read a lot of you on here complaining about it though. |

The bottom of my trigger finger rubbed on the trigger guard a little my first trip to the range. Since then I put on the small backstrap and right side panel and it changed the angle my finger lays on the trigger so the rubbing is gone. The VP9 fits me like a glove now. Not sure about the trigger surface feeling like sandpaper...mine certainly doesn't. Everyone's physiology is different though. |
| That video is referencing 'pinch' not slap...and is a long standing complaint of the P30/HK45/HK45c as well. Search for Larry Vickers original thoughts on the HK45 that he himself helped design. He questioned the hump inside the trigger guard and said it hurt his finger. He even sanded his down and removed it for comfort. That was back in 2006 or 2007 or so. VP9 shares the same trigger guard design, and has the same pinch point. |

Anyone know exactly why they put that trench in the trigger guard? First time I saw it I thought "neat" I guess, don't see that on other pistols but still don't understand what its supposed to do.
I haven't had any issues with pinching but I have smaller hands. It seems those with larger hands have more problems with this gun, whether it be with the trench pinching them or the paddle mag release rubbing against their trigger finger. |

When the P30 came out, it was my understanding the groove was there to somehow keep gloves, of the winter variety that is, from getting hung up under the trigger. The first time I rented a P30, the groove gave me a blood blister on my trigger finger after one box of ammo.
FWIW, I have small hands and the rental had medium panels all around. |

I've already dumped over a thousand rounds through mine easily, and still no slap either. No sandpaper feel, no slapping, just trigger pulling with ease and comfort. Quoted:

The 2 other guys with me had the same complaint, so I guess it varies...
