The G.I. Model isn't offered by Springfield any longer, so there's a some additional appeal to a popular model that isn't offered any longer.

New Mil-Specs are $650 and $699 for parked and stainless versions. I'd put a pristine G.I. model at $500ish. Any significant wear and tear, or mods would deduct from that.

Agreed:  $500 for an excellent, unmodified one.  Subtract for any permnent modifications.

Personally, I'd sell it and use the proceeds for a RIA Tactical.

Its all original and about the only marks on it are from the parkerizing wearing off on the barrel.  I have been looking at trying to get an mc operater, kimber warrior, or kimber raptor.

If you want a rail the MC Operator is a great gun. Otherwise you may be able to just upgrade the GI to your liking.

Dumb question but is the GI the same as the milspec 1911? I'm trying to figure out a price as well. I need another HK.

Different models.

Mil-spec has lowered and flared ejection port, larger 3 dot sights, slightly beveled mag well, and angled cocking serrations.

G.I.

Mil-spec

Add up the costs of upgrading the mil-spec vs buying new.

Novack can do sights and add a rail, etc etc.
