I've decided I'm selling my Springfield GI frame to an old friend of mine (don't worry--I'm not selling it here or trying to).  I don't want to just give it away to him, but I'm also not looking to make a killing.  What do you guys think a fair value is for the frame?  It was made in 2004.  I had it reparked (by a gunsmith friend) about 500 rounds ago because the SA park was wearing off for no apparent reason.  No smithing has ever been done on it.

Essentially the frame is the gun. I would guess it would be 3/4 the cost of the complete gun.

Take a look at what stripped frames are going for.  I'd look at the Caspian, Rock River and Les Bear web sites to start.  You can go from there.

A few years ago I purchased a used Springfield Gi for $375 shipped.

Good luck,

Mike

Thanks guys.  I'll probably let him have it for $150 or so.
