Buddy of mine worked for Hill stamping (they do areospace metal work for Boeing mainly) and since he was just about the only "gun guy" that worked there he was called into the Alchemy Arms shop a few times (Alchemy is a part of Hill) to try to make them work. He has told me that it is a good idea, but when he brought up the idea of taking a few prototypes to a reputable gunsmith who was willing to look them over and offer suggestions to make them better, he was turned down. My friend would spend hours trying to hand fit the parts on pistols to make them work. It took about 4 days to get them set, but once that was done then they would supposedly be ggod to go. I would not expect them to have much value accept as a collectors item. PS. If you look at the cut out notch on the trigger guard you will see what the marketing department referedt to as the "digital safety". You might be thinkg how high speed it is to have a digital safety on your pistol, but all it is, is a "memory grove" for you trigger finger. That might fly with some people, but it is about as close to lying as I will let a firearm company get. |
