I have been waiting for a 6" 500 S&W as I can't make a 4" grow and I can't cut an 8.5" back (Thanks for the shrouded barrel as well as the lock.) The option is a 7.5" BFR which I could cut back however since it was designed around the 45-70 the cylinder is about 3/4" longer than needed for the 500 S&W. I don't see Magnum Research building a third frame size to accomodate the 500, 460 or the like. I am about to pick up the short cylinder BFR chambered for the 475 Linebaugh and forget the 500 S&W. Any thoughts ?  ETA nevermind I just parked a 475 in the cupboard.
