Shot a local match today. LEO there had a Walther P99 .40 cal... (no it was not his duty gun)... he let me run a couple mags through it... man what a nice piece.

I was amazed that it did not seem to have the "snappiness" of many other 40s.

I fell in love with the way my 9mm shot. I think it has more to do with the way it fits my hand than anything else.

Mine has become my favorite handgun. I use it in IDPA matches and am in love with it. Now if only I could do something about the loose nut behind the grip (me).

That double stage trigger is different...

Do you CCW it? If so do you carry it striker cocked or double action mode?

I haven't carried it concealed because I let my permit-to-exercise-my-constitutional-right expire. But in a proper holster, I wouldn't have any problem carrying with the striker cocked.

My good friend is an LEO and he carries his with the striker cocked. Striker decocked for me.
I absolutely love my P-99. It is also chambered in .40s&w.
