| anyone have a Para warthog .45? Thinking about adding oneto the collection. Any info would be great.....Thanks |

I had one back in the day when they first came out and were called the P10. Sent it back 3 or 4 times to Para. Traded it in then.
Problems were it kept jamming. FTF, FTE, etc. I later found out that other people had the same problems, mostly on the last or second last round in the mag, and was told the mag springs were not stiff enough and to use Wolff springs. I don't know why but it seems to me the super compact .45s just don't run. I had a SA one too that I got rid of as well. After that, I never got another sub compact .45 1911. |
| Had one that I bought used. Within 1000 rounds the frame cracked, which Para fixed free of charge. I passed it along to my son, who has shot it a pretty fair amount with no problems. There is a fair level of "anti-para" feeling out there, I'm not going out of my way to buy another, but I wouldn't walk away from a great deal either. |

I would not seek out a Para, but if I saw a decent looking one for the right price I would consider buying it. They are definitely not as good as a Springfield Armory, but for the right price I would give just about anything a "good home". It might make a good range use / practice 1911. However, I probably wouldn't trust my life to one and carry it as my CCW gun. |
