Okay so I have a weird question that pertains to trigger guard length.
What are the lengths of trigger guards on some of the more popular handguns? I ask because I have an SP2022 and an XD/XDm holster should work from what I heard, so I picked up a BLACKHAWK sportster holster (non-serpa) and the gun fit yet wasn't in far enough for my liking. Now my SP2022 is slightly different from most, it lacks a m1913 rail and has a larger trigger guard that is also more rounded. So my main question is what pistol that is fairly common has a slightly longer trigger guard than the Springfields? Thank you in advance for any and all advice and info. |
| Why don't you just get a holster actually made for your Sig? I don't know much about the SP2022, but a quick look on Blade-Tech's site shows they make a holster for 2 different generations of the SP2022. One of those probably fits your gun. http://shop.blade-tech.com/owb-holster-c-1_23_24.html |

My main issue is I am on a tight budget, and the holster will be for range use or in an emergency so for me it's hard to justify a $65 holster (before shipping) on a holster that will not be used every day and at most once a week. I'm not saying what you linked isn't good or not worth the money, but I have a tight budget and it will see some use. That is the only reason i'm looking for a holster for a common gun that has a slightly longer trigger guard.
I'd gladly spend $65 on a holster if it were for CCW but this gun and holster won't be. I do thank you for the link though, my SP2022 has a frame very similar (almost identical) to the Sig Pro 2340. |
| The UM84 and M12 is a possability, however I am looking for a more for fitted holster such as a synthetic or leather holster. Preferably a friction type of retention (I hate snaps, buckles and buttons) Does the P226 or 92FS have a longer trigger guard then the XD or XDm? |
