I bought a 92FS today. Never was a big fan of the 9mm, but it looks like md is getting ready to go to insane measures to even buy a handgun and I wanted more magazine capacity than a 1911. I am a lefty and really liked the ambi controls. Hope it shoots as good as it looks 
Now I only have to wait about a month before msp finish my background check and I can pick it up

| Yeah it's nuts. I've been in lgun shop that have a hundred plus handguns waiting for approval. I guess the msp are kind of busy because of both the current fed and md admins. It's supposed to be 7 days and the gunshop can release but none will without msp approval. |

And a year from now you will be kicking yourself in the ass because you did not buy TWO of them back then! (you could have easily negotiated a discount if spending that much)

And a year from now you will be kicking yourself in the ass because you did not buy TWO of them back then! (you could have easily negotiated a discount if spending that much) I am sure I will like it. I looked at the 96 too and it was a tough choice ... .40 or 9mm, but buying two was not an option. 
Besides lack of funding for two; stupid md law says one handgun a month unless you have a collecters license, and I'm not going to invite the man into my life anymore than I have to. Now I have to find dies, brass, and bullets. I haven't tried the dies and brass yet, but it looks like the bullets are unobtainium. I'll be glad when the panic stops! |

Starline Brass (and MANY other sellers/manuf) is not even accepting backorders for many different types of brass because they are so swamped (9mm included). I WOULD definitely suggest you keep an eye on their website though. When it gets to the point that you actually CAN place an order you WILL get on their list and receive your brass in a reasonable amount of time. Good prices (they are NOT gouging and have NOT raised their prices FWIW) and great quality brass. With a company like Starline you can buy direct from them and avoid any sort of 'middleman' jacking up the prices...

I agree, love the quality, accuracy & reliability of the 92. Best 9mm I've ever shot! And paying half what most people are paying for Glock magazines is a plus too. |

I ordered extra mags when Beretta had them in stock last week; it's a pretty sad picture...having mags and no gun yet. O well it gives me time to find ammo, accessories, and components. |
