Hey guys, I have never owned a 1911 and have the chance to trade a guy for a Dan Wesson PM7 in perfect condition.
I don't know much about them but in researching it seems these have gone up in price almost $500 in the last couple years. Any insight on why would be very welcome along with your general impressions on them since CZ took over would be appreciated. It is 2010 manufacture, if that makes a difference, round count unknown but it looks unshot. Approximate trade value is 1300-1400 on my end, should i try to get some cash or deal? Just don't want to go into this completely blind Thanks for your help Ty |
| The PM7 is a excellent pistol. I bought one last year for just over a grand new, before the price hike. Not sure what changed but from what I understand DW was starting to charge what it was worth. You actually get a lot for right at a grand for a 1911. The whole line of DW pistols went up in price. I must say the Valor is one sweet looking 45. Most of the high end 45's take quite a bit of rounds down range in just breaking them in. It's not like a rifle where after 5,000 rounds the barrel is toast or anything. At least when I bought mine I don't think there was anything at that price that was compareable. Now with the price hike you are in Les Baer low end terratory. |
