Those with M18s or 17s, what if any upgrades did you do? Or did you keep it OEM?  Thinking about changing out the curved to a flat trigger

I like shooting my M17 as from the factory.

But I do like the flat trigger. I tricked an M18 out to an M18X. No safety, SIG X grip and flat trigger. Did that several years ago.

That's what I have on my M18.  Bought it from Sig Guy and used his video to install and adjust it.

Thank you.  I just backordered one.

I bought one of these from the Cherry Point MCX.  The data sticker on the box has a date of 24 MAY 2024, so it seems to be a recent production run.

How much does it cost at the MCX? I’ve never heard of AAFES carrying them - they only stock the commercial models. I keep meaning to stop by Quantico to see what they have.

Proven Arms got some in a month or so ago, which seems to coincide with the manufacture date on yours.

They are having a "sale" right now.  I paid $669.99 for it.  I probably would not have bought it at the normal $749.99 price.  The civilian versions are $100 cheaper, if I recall correctly.  I am pretty sure MCX LeJeune also had some when I swung through there.

I'm actually not a SIG guy at all, but I thought this model was pretty cool.  Especially at the reasonable "sale" price, given the no tax "benefit."

Also, I noticed that Proven Arms is a NC distributor/wholesaler, so that is probably one of the reasons our exchanges were able to get some.  Assuming others have not.

AAFES was doing a 10% off for Father’s Day week + 5% off if you use a Star Card. That’s the only time I buy from the PX because it actually makes the prices very competitive. I was as tempted by the commercial M18 - normally $660, brought down to $564 with the sale, which makes it comparable to SIG’s professional program price with no tax. I’d rather hold out for another one of these military production M18s though.

That sounds possible. AAFES uses RSR as their distributor, which is where the shopmyexchange.com inventory comes from.

Yeah, their prices are not very good normally.  I even had one of the clerks tell me they have an extra middle man that takes a cut of the percentage.  That is why they claim we have a no tax benefit, but their prices are the same or more as the regular stores plus tax.

I didn't know Springfield Armory had a military discount program until I bought a Garrison at the MCX.  Most stores are at about $799 plus tax for a Garrison around here.  At the MCX it was about $739.  I finally sprung for one during one of the sales, I think it was 10% off, which brought it down to $660 something. When I plugged in the sku into Google, was when I realized I had bought one of the Front Line models.  Guess what, all the Front Line models I found online were about $660 anyway.  Granted, I wasn't paying tax or shipping/transfer on top of that, but that is the way it should always be.  Not just during a sale.

I recently looked at their price match policy.  They say they will match a price for a brick and mortar store in the state, for the "out the door" price.  That means they want you to include tax when you present them with a price match.  What a scam.

But hey, at least they had these for a decent price.  The earlier poster got one a while back at an even better price, but that looked like almost two years ago.

I went back to see if they had a consecutive serial number but they said they didn't.  I might still pick up a second one tomorrow.  It is the last day of the "sale."

It’s great to hear that SIG apparently plans to keep these available, even if they’re only released sporadically. I think everyone had the impression these were a one-time overrun release when they first appeared. I want to get a second M18 once they’re available again.

Thanks for the response!

They already show out of stock for me.

I heard Cherry Point MCX was going to have another 10% off sale so I went and checked out the gun counter after work one day and they no longer had any on display.

I'm surprised they sold out of them AFTER the sale when I bought mine, as pricey as they were at normal price.

Wow, sorry about that, I guess they only lasted a few hours. Might be worth checking back in case they sold quickly and are waiting for orders to catch up. Always a chance one falls through if someone can't get a transfer lined up.

They’re back in stock again as of this evening. Maybe they’re shipping out in small batches.

Dang, I wish I could buy one of these. I work for the DoD but it does not look like I qualify.
