I have a box of Eley to try in a Browning Buckmark, the Ruger Mk 2 22/45 my brother worked on, and a High Standard Sport King. The most accurate of the 3 will be kept, the rest sold on. What I will NOT be buying is a 4" Charter Arms Target Pathfinder.

But I ran a bunch of different ammo threw both shooting at steel plates. I experienced many malfunctions with the X22 and then the C clip holding the front site fell into the action temporarily locking it up. The Tarass ate everything. No attempt was made to clean or lube either but just what was shipped and they both were wet. Now the next time may be different and the accuracy testing may yield results. But those were my first time out of the box experiments. |

I use Hornady One Shot for a similar effect, solvent + dry lube + rust inhibitor. |

Main decision I have now is whether to take the $100 or the 200 Beretta Bucks. I almost always go cash but now I'm thinking about taking the Beretta money and buying a pile of mags. I need to do some more looking at mags. I might be able to live with flush 7rd Mecgars for $12-$15 vs the $25 I'm seeing the out of stock Beretta mags listed at. |

My Dad took his out and ran like 300 rounds on his first outing and when I scoped the bore it looked GREAT! When the gun starts getting filthy, sometimes, depending on the ammo, it might not lock back on the last round but a good cleaning solves that. I realllly like the 322. It is NO Ruger Mark II or a Colt Woodsman but it is light, accurate and reliable. |

I recently chose BerBucks, it was much quicker return than several previous cash rebates and worked fine online, just follow directions to ensure you don't pay with a different form. I bought stacks of mags during their sales, the 21a Bobcat mags have been $12-14 site and taxed several times past year. It's nice to be able to run through 100+ rounds without reloading. Somehow this did not quote the post I was replying to... I like the CP33 for a couple reasons, 50rd mags are nice. I had trouble getting it running well after some mods - over-torqued the frame screws, simple fix. It's fun after shooting other items, like 21a Bobcats or SingleSix (loading gate makes for slower pace of rounds downrange). Colt KC 6" w/ SpeedBeez speedloader kit has some things I like, but grip/ frame too short for hand esp. w/ the 6" barrel. Volquartson or 617 next, maybe a G44, best guess. Have access to Ruger Charger, 10/22 & mkii slabside, beretta 92/22 & Bobcat 21a, the aforementioned Colt, Ruger Sing6 and CP33. I've been into revolvers lately because I tend to buy at least 15 mags per pistol and modify sights, triggers...revolvers keep my costs down. I started buying with the idea to favor firearms that accepted mags first, and buy a lot of mags, then switch to revolvers and 10-rd max firearms after I gathered the majority of the firearms I wanted that were more likely to be restricted. I live in VA...for now. |

| Nothing new turns my crank but I need to start pulling out .22's I haven't shot in years. I honestly don't know how I ended up with so many. Maybe it was because at one point many were pretty cheap and outside of certain makes and models [S&W 18 and Colt Diamondback] easy to find much of the time. And they lasted a long time due to the fact that many were full sized centerfires made in .22 caliber. |

I probably have more than I really need: 2 Ruger Single Sixes, Mk2-4's, High Standards (3 revolvers and 3 semis), Colt King Cobra, S&W Model 17, S&W Escort, S&W 41, Colt Officer Target Model, Benelli MP95, SIG Mosquito, Walther PPK, Beretta Model 70 , 76, and Bobcat, a First Gen Colt SAA Bisley, 2 Diamondback Sidekicks, Iver Johnson Topbreak, H&R Topbreak, 3 Heritage single actions, Std Mfg Jackhammer, Taurus PT22, Taurus 942. Heck, I even have a Jennings J22 and a Davis D22. I'd like to eventually have a threaded Walther TPH but that's only if one pops up at the right price. |
| Shot an old High Standard against a Mk 2 22/45 HB and a cheap Buckmark Wednesday. None came out on top - the HS is restricted to standard velocity ammo & only has one good mag, the Browning was spitting burning powder on my left hand, so I may keep the Ruger, and get my spare upper/barrel threaded. |

This 31 year old BNIB Ruger MarkII MK-512GC ended up being my "next" rimfire... I will probably pick one of these up once they hit the distributors... Buck Mark Black Label 250 RMSC And then its just a waiting game for Ruger to release a high capacity 22/45 and then I think I will be done... maybe lol |

The safety disconnects the trigger completely which is a bit odd but no biggie. The bad. The minute you toss a can on this thing the gun locks open with nearly every shot. For me (this does vary from gun to gun) it did not matter if I was using high velocity (Mini Mag round nose) or standard velocity (CCI Standards, lead round nose) the gun locked open frequently but unpredictably "consistently". In other words, it did not get better or worse over time. Note the suppressors had no effect on accuracy for me. I used the PWS B.D.E. .22 and the Rugged Oculus in the full (non "K") volume configuration. Both were SUPER DUPER quiet on the 22X. Conversely, my P322 has ZERO issues with a can on it. My opinion: for the moment, until Smith addresses the lock open problem (which they will NOT) this gun in best in the standard layout. It is a great feeling GREAT shooting gun WITHOUT A CAN. Once you add a can, light or heavy, the gun will cease to function correctly. Will all of them do this? I don't know. All the cherry picked YouTuber guns did not seem to have this issue...so it CAN be mitigated. I am not sure what the problem is. It does NOT seem to be a weak lock spring as I was trying to hold the gun shut and the gun would still frequently lock open and even locked on empty. I noticed that the mags realllly flop around in the mag well. I have a feeling that the magazine is activating the lock while bouncing around in the frame under recoil. That is a GUESS and ONLY a guess. |

I was a little worried after hearing some of them had to go back to the factory. i've got close to 1,000 rounds through mine. i have nothing but good things to say about it except mine has the rubber grips i need to change out. its got a great trigger for a 22 revolver. |

My latest is a CZ 75 Kadet pistol. It’s at my FFL but I have to wait for the add to my license. It came with a RMR mount that is in the rear sight dovetail. I ordered a Holosun 507c red dot to try on it. I have never had a red dot on a pistol. I will eventually buy the correct replacement rear sight. I am hoping this thing runs nicely. I do have a Kadet top end on my P07 but it’s a completely different animal. |
The only hyphenated names I like are cartridge names......30-06, 30-40, 38-55 etc.

Machine it a bit, case harden color the surface, SOMETHING, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We know it's MIM, it just doesn't need to LOOK like MIM so much. |
