| I saw a single action revolver on auction and in the description it states "easy load reversing cylinder for cowboy action shooting". What the heck does that mean? |
|
It could mean one of two things. It could have a free spin pawl which allows the cyl to rotate either direction or it could have a reverse indexing pawl which allows the cyl to turn one way but allows the chamber to line up with the loading gate when it should. Ruger is useing the reverse indexing pawl in the 50th ANV models as well as the New Vaqueero. |
Hey, thanks for the explanation. I thought that it might have something to do with cylinder rotation, but I know how some people can make stuff up in their auction descriptions.
