I'm having a hell a time trying to figure what height I should buy for a dovetail front sight.   I was planning on getting Model 860-678 Defensive Adjustable Sight for the rear.

Should I not be too worried since I'm going to get a fully adjustable sight?  Any insight will be appreciated.  Thanks

5" gun?  Go with a .180".

I have a .325" tall rear sight and use a .180" tall front.

Most rear sights will start out shorter than that (.285") so you will have some room to adjust it.
