I'm debating what to get for my next 1911.  Nothing works for me nearly as well as a good 1911... and I realize I don't have enough of them .

I like the 10mm round, but the only 10mm I have is a G20.  Great gun, but it's HUGE, so it doesn't get used very much at all and it's almost too big for me.  I have also found it to not be as accurate as a good 1911.  So I was thinking about a full size 1911 in 10mm for carry.

I was also looking at some other guns that have caught my eye....

Wilson CQB in 10mm (my .45 Wilson is the best firearm I've ever touched, so this seems natural to me)
Nighthawk T3 -- seems like a cool gun and I don't have a steel commander (just a lightweight Colt)
Ed Brown fullsize in .45 (either Kobra or Executive or Special Forces or whatever other moniker they have)

I'd go with your gut. If Wilson feels natural to you and you've had zero problems with them then why not? Go with Wilson.

Buy a Delta and send it off to Miller Custom.

If I were to ever venture back to the 10mm I would most likely sent it to a good smith like Bob.
My experience with the 10mm however led me right back to the .45acp. I got a Stainless Colt Delta when they first came out. Found that the 10mm loaded to it's full potential was too much cartridge for carry use. Also found it battered the Colt pretty good, and went back to my .45acp carry gun.

My first pic of your choices would be the Nighthawk.

I think I am with SGB on this one...

I prefer supporting WC over NH, because like you I am very satisfied with WC's product and service, and would like to reward them for that with repeat business. However, the Commander seems the best selection given your choices.

The EB gives you minimal enjoyment so that's out. It's a wonderfully finished 5" in .45 ACP. You already have that with your WC. The only thing you gain is different stylings.

The WC is a very tempting choice, because you have a new "testosterone" caliber, which has a lot of "excitement" utility. This might be the most refreshing and exciting option. But it is tempered with the drawbacks. Take SGB's post, and add the cost and slimmer pickings of 10mm ammo and the fact you need to get a whole new supply of magazines.

The NH seems to the best balance. You have the excitement of a new size (which is sooo much better for CCW, IMO). It may not be as exciting as the 10mm but it has no drawbacks. I have become a real fan of Commanders, and I think one will probably be my first full house. I would love a top shelf Commander in my collection.

'nother vote for Bob.  He does fantastic work and IIRC somewhat "specializes" in Deltas.

None of the above.

I don't have much use for 10mm, and don't care for EB or NH.
