Currently, I own a Sig GSR Revolution C3 (2008), Para Ord Companion Carry LDA 7.45 (2003) & Kimber Eclipse Ultra (2004). Each is in "like new" condition with less than 500 rnds shot.
I'd like to sell 2 of these pistols and get one "great" 1911 at little or no extra cost from the sale. Which 2 should I sell and what 1911 should I get? If possible, pls provide the reason(s) for your response. Thanks for taking the time to do this. |

You need to be a little more specific. What's the current market value for the pistols you plan to sell? We need a pretty good idea of what you're wanting to spend without us guessing.
As previously mentioned, one persons idea of "great" might be totally different from another. There are hundreds of 1911 manufacturers out there. What do YOU consider "great"? |
| You're correct, my apologies. I carry concealed everyday, typically carrying either a Sig P220 or P229 (both DA/SA). I want to slim down inventory and begin carrying a 1911. I've done quite a bit of trng w/ the 1911 at the range but have not started carrying yet till I'm thoroughly competent w/the SA only system. I'm told I can get $700-800 for the Kinber; $500-600 for the Para and; $800-900 for the Sig C3. I live in Tx where it is either hot/warm most of the year. There you have it. Thanks again for the help. |

Of those three, I would keep the SIG. The Para is an odd duck and the Kimber is full of MIM...and there's people willing to pay good money for them. If the SIG runs well and is reliable, you're looking at a solid gun with 2 or 3 MIM parts with lots of features and a decent amount of attention to detail. The values you quoted sound about $100-$150 too high to me, but then again I don't know what the Texas gun market is like. As for what pistol to buy, I would look for a Dan Wesson in the flavor of your choosing. |

Thanks again for the help. I would sell the Para and Kimber because of the length. I don't run anything other than a 5" 1911 at all. I would get either a Springfield Armory Loaded or used TRP model. Put at least 1000 rounds through whichever gun you get before you carry. |
