Title says it all.
I've loaned my Baby Eagle .45 to my brother-in-law for an indefinite amount of time, leaving an open space in the safe, thus creating the need (excuse) to buy a new pistol. The Baby Eagle was a range/beater/truck gun, so I'm looking for something to fill the same role. See poll for my options, any input is appreciated. |

Find / wait for the Jericho F in 45acp.
Don't weaken, you know they are worth the hunt. Remember the first time you and I talked about them a few years ago around Christmas and 2 popped up for sale right after you were broke? You know the day after you buy something else, a Jericho will pop up and you'll kick yourself. It only took me 2 months to find my 9mm Jericho FB at a good price ( $500, I decided to consolidate my social work pistols in 9mm ). I just ordered a EAA "Gold Custom" ambi safety this week. Next up, a hard chrome plus Trijicons and it's perfect. |

Why not the ArmaLite AR-24, or AR-24K? Not into Turkish guns. Quoted:
My Eagle was awesome but for the safety. I have been seeing frame safety versions in photos for years. Are you telling me it's like the various Colt guns that never really get made? Frame safety Jerichos are fairly common on the international market, but not many have ever been imported into the US. Quoted:

There's some good news for both of us - Michael Kassnar, President of KBI/Charles Daly, has stated that FS Jerichos should be available by the end of the year. |

If you don't like the CZ75 the you won't like the CZ97. They both have the CZ slightly humped back grip. OTOH I shot a CZ97 and it made one ragged 2" hole at 25'.

And so you want a clone, which will again have more or less the same grip shape and dimensions? Especially the Tanfans... they are the closest of the CZ clones. The grip of a standard TF doesn't vary much from a "new style" (meaning true beavertailed) CZ. The beavertail is a little higher, but it's mostly the same. Quoted:

While I believe the 9mm TS is in the process of being phased out, it is still available in the meantime. |

Neither the Tangfolios or the Jericho/Baby Eagle have the same grip shape as the CZ75; the Jericho is significantly different, and is in fact one of the best grip profiles I've ever handled. The 9mm TS may stillbe available some places - I made my statements based CZ's and site and my dealer's websites. Still, it's way more thab I would spend for a beater/truck gun. |

With the Aluminium grips, the CZ is practically the same. |
