Pt-92 or Pt-1911. No set purpose, just shooting fun. Getting a .38 Ruger Speedsix and a Mark II. Is .45 really much more fun than 9mm?

I'd say go for the PT-92.  They are great guns.

PT92

If you are just shooting for fun 9m is a lot cheaper. I understand it is hard not to like the 1911 though.

I could'nt say 9m is more fun to shoot than .45 if both calibers cost the same. Because 9mm is cheaper most people ted to shoot it more resulting in going to the range more. This is why .22lr is fun to most people as its dirt cheap compared to all other calibers. If I could buy .45 for the exact same price as 9mm I'd be shooting my .45 alot more.

I currently own a PT1911 and used to own a PT92.  I like both guns but the 1911 has more OOMPH to it.  Never had a problem of any kind with the PT92 and so far have had no problems with the 1911.
