Hey HK boys, need your help.  I'm looking at getting my first HK, narrowed it down to full size USP.  Does the USP9 feel noticeably slimmer than USP40?  I'm thinking about doing away with 45, like the slimmer 9/40 size guns.  In the Glock lineup, the 9/40 models are identical, size wise.  Don't mind going 40, have an old S&W 411, gearing up to start loading for 40sw this winter.  Any help would be great.  I'm Glocked out!  I LOVE them, but love my Sig too!  Trying to add some flavor to my pistol collection.  Thanks Fellas'

IIRC, they only made a Tactical in a 40 and 45.  I would aim for one of those if possible.  If not, I like them all.  Outside of the tac, I like the LEM trigger.

Same exact size guns.  Get it in either caliber. But probably 9mm

I have an HK USP V1 9mm. Very sweet pistol.

I'd go for 9mm.  The others are correct as the 40/9 are the same size.  I have a USP 45 and it's been a great reliable pistol.  I have the USP Expert 9mm that I love.

The HK USP9 is what I recommend to people.

This.  It's been my working pistol for a few months, and might be for quite a while into the future

This, 9/40 are the same size.

I'd fo with a USP TACTICAL 9.

I shoot the 9 for practice ammo prices. The difference becomes important if you are shooting a lot.

The ballistic gap between 9 and 40 is almost entirely gone based on bullet quality, so higher capacity, and reduced costs to train are both drivers to me.

Thanks Fellas', eyeing a couple USP9's as I write this.  Happy Thanksgiving to ALL!

the USP 40 was purpose built for the 40 SW. i'd get the 40 but YMMV

Yes sir. I just got mine this summer. The older ones were just a standard usp 9 with a threaded barrel sold as USP9SD and everyone just markets it as the usp9 tactical. These new ones actually have the match trigger, oring barrel and adjustable sights like the standard tactical 40/45.
