I'm wanting to get one for my glock.  Should I go with the Advantage Arms or Ciener Kit?  Please post your experiences with each.

I would like to run this suppressed occasionally, but the main goal in purchasing is for cheap practice with my carry gun.

Or should I just get a P22 instead?

The AA that I have is 99%, and is very cheap and fun to shoot. With everything that I have read about Ciener, I would not personally buy his product again. I have the Ciener AR15 conversion kit.

its a no brainer.

If you want a LSHO feature, then the AA is the unit.

if you want 10+ rounds, then ciners is the unit you want.

i dont have a can, so dont know how they would operate w/it.

if you want to shoot 22s, out of your G, then a conversion would be the way to go. If you want a 22 for a can then, any choice would be fine too.

since you want "cheap practice" with your "carry gun" then i would opt for the conversion.

This is a much better conversion kit than Ciener, and it also includes 15-round magazine:

I have a frame dedicated to my Advantage Arms Glock 17 conversion. I have been very happy with it. The only limitation is that Advantage Arms is a CA based company and can only make 10 round mags.

I have heard nothing good about the Ciener Glock conversion.

hrt4me, tell us more about the conversion pictured.

i have several Ciner kits and they work fine.  They were all ordered thru ciner.  I know that alot of people have issues w/ciner but the only problem i have had is that they are slow to ship.  I havent had anything break on my kits so i dont know about their CS and i will cross that bridge when it happens.  So all i can say is that i am happy with my ciner kits.

I did some searching for that nice conversion kit in Hrt4mes post.  It appears its of german OEM and that according to the web pages if found, the cost of the kit is ~500 Euros (~$800.00 USD).  the mags are ~$80.00 too.

now, if the price was more in line with other kits, i think it would be a good choice, but with that price, even i cant see paying for it and i have spent more then my share of $$ on guns/toys that were overpriced.

Yeah, if the kit above is $800, it's out of my price range.  I would like to buy 5 mags for the kit I get and at $80 apeice ($400), that's not happening.

The problem I'm having now is being able to find an AA kit for my G23 that is in stock!  They are backordered 6-8 weeks through Advantage Arms.  I've called most of the gun stores within an hour of me and can't find one.  Most of the places online show out of stock too.  I'll keep looking and just might have to go ahead and get in line on my 6-8 week wait!

Anyone have any places in mind to check out?
