I bought a FN High Power new about 27 years ago.  I packed it in a shoulder holster for about a year before moving to a Browning marked Sig P220 (BDA 45) and the HP has been in my safe ever since.  Now I'm wondering just which model HP it is and what it's worth.  The only markings on it are the caliber on the barrel (Cal 9m/mP), the serial number on the frame (76C362xx) and the slide is marked "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q" and directly under that is "MADE IN BELGIUM".  Also, on right hand side, on the front top of the trigger guard is an "M" and what looks like a pineapple or a hand gernade.  It's probably not those things, but that's the best thing I can think of to describe it.  The gun has no ambi controls and the slide is not cut for them.  The blue is polished and it has fixed sights, in case it's hard to tell from the picure.
Is the the Mark 1 or is it just the Standard model?  Also, about what is the current value? There's a small scar about 3/16" long on the top of the slide and some blue is worn off around the grip area and around the muzzle from the holster.  Other than that it's in pretty nice condition.

Thanks.

Thanks, right now it's not going anywhere, but with all the variations I've seen lately, plus the rumors that they're going to stop production, has made me wonder just which model I have and what it's current value is.  I always have, and still do, consider it one of the finest semi autos ever made.  But it's just too damn nice to carry and beat all to hell....that's what Sigs and Glocks are for!

Very nice.

I just bought a mint 76C series very similiar to yours(adjustable sites instead of fixed). I should receive it next week. Before I bought it, I was told the "C" series rivaled the "T" series in quality. I got mine for $595 shipped. I was also told it would go for the upper $700's in mint condition.
