Anyone know the collectability / rarity of this .22cal from the 50’s? I picked up a .357 snubby from a person on Calguns who also had the .22cal for sale.  I picked up both guns but feel the Wolverine will be a collecters item downthe road. What do you think?

There were about 500 total guns made in both blue and nickle finish, not sure of the breakdown in numbers of each. The last gun  I saw sold was the blued version in VG+ condition in the box and went for over $1000. A similar condition nickle plated version sold for over $2500.

There were a lot more Whitney's made than 500 guns.
The company was in business from 1955 to 1962.

The Whitney is a collectible gun.
The most collectible are the nickel versions and any gun with non-standard colored grips. The company bought plastic grip material from a local supplier and took anything they had left as scrap from other contracts.
Blue, Red and other colors are known.

The earlier Whiney's had the Wolverine mark, which was later removed after another company informed them that they owned the Wolverine name.

The Blue Book lists blued Whitney's values ranging from $300 in 70% original condition to $575 in 98%.
As usual the Blue Book values are low due to delays in publishing.
I'd put those prices very low due to the appeal of the Whitney to all buyers.

The lowest value would be for a standard blue with no original box.

I stand corrected - after further research I find there were approx 14,000 mfg.
