Hello all!

I surf Gun Broker from time to time, and I reently came across the Whitneyville Revolvers in 22 Short, typically with the brass frames like the one pictures below.



For some reason, I really like the looks of these little pocket / boot revolvers.

My question is on the safety of them. From what I can tell, these were made to fire an older black-powder style version of 22 Short.

I have read a couple forums on these pistols, and most people are saying that the common modern day 22 Short is too powerful and could split the walls of the cylinder.

If this is true, I might be better off just buying a mini-revolver from Norther American Arms and not worry about it.
