| I'm looking for a double stack 9mm capable of SAO or cocked and locked carry with a light rail. I have been spoiled by the 1911 trigger and love the size and capacity of my G17. SAO triggers though I just love them so much, I know the HK's have the ability to run like 1911's but they are a little thick compared to my Glock so what other opptions are there? |

Taurus, this: http://www.taurususa.com/product-details.cfm?id=133&category=Pistol&toggle=&breadcrumbseries= Actually, prob the most reliable Taurus auto pistol **in 9mm**, the .40's are finicky but i know people that have carried the 9mm platform for twenty years (w/o rail of course) w/o issue... |

Quoted: Browning Hi Power I had a serious case of stupids today and forgot the HP......more coffee needed. I shoulda never mentioned the Taurus ahead of it...Go with the HP and have a level I tactical package done from Cylinder & Slide, and one of their combat hammers installed. |

This. You put the thinnest side panels on the P30 and it's nowhere near as thick as a G17. Specs? The Glock is 1.18". The P30 is 1.3" ish. Changing the side panels doesn't make the pistol thinner as a hole, as either the slide (P30) or safety (P30S) is the widest part of the pistol, but the grip can be made much thinner than the grip of a Glock 17, if grip size is the concern. |

The width dimensions that HK uses includes both slide release levers. Which makes the P30 look like a very wide pistol by the numbers. Kind of what you were alluding to. |
