.... no interest in a D Eagle in .45?

They are really good pistolas, but they dont seem to gain much interest

A standard DE is huge and has a double recoil spring system made precisely for a large caliber and it would be pointless

Not when there are HK USP's.

I don't care what caliber it's in, a Deagle has no appeal for me whatsoever.

Those things ought to come with wheels and a Class II trailer hitch.

I might consider one for handgun hunting (scoped) or to have just for the cool factor (I have plenty of guns bought for no more reason than that), but I agree with others who have already weighed in about their impracticality...

By the way, I am NOT talking about the Monster Eagles. The "Baby" Eagles ( or Beagles )
D Eagle in .45 39.5 oz
Loaded Full Size MC Operator 42 oz
5" SA GI  36 oz

G26 26 1/4 oz
XD .45  32 oz
HK .45 tact. 30 1/2oz
Sig 220 30 1/2 oz
CZ 97 36.8 oz

These are EMPTY weights.
NOW, is it really THAT heavy?
It is around the same weight as a metal framed .45 in compring sizes.
We really cant compare it to poly frames now can we?

Last heavyweight entry:

H&K Mark 23
2.66 # - 42.6 oz (Empty)
3.47# - 55.5 oz (loaded)

It makes you feel that you're actually shooting something.

Walk into your local gunshop and say "I need two spare magazines for my Beagle in .45".

Now, say to him "alright then, got any Glock mags?  Beretta?  Walther? HK?"

I know lots of guys like stuff that's different or unique, but I prefer most of my firearms be mainstream enough that I don't have to special order everything or shop with that "one guy" who sells the parts and accessories.

I actually wanted a Baby Eagle in .40 when I first heard of them 15+ years ago...  They all came with a Disney diaper in the box.  (Of course, I don't know if that was a gun shop promo or an IAI one. )

I had a Beagle in .40 and I'm not interested in owning another one.  It was fairly reliable and "combat accurate."

However, sights and holsters were hard to come by, mags were expensive, and after my firing pin broke MRI gave me a bunch of shit about getting it fixed.   I sold it and will not own another MRI product.

I'd rather have the real thing anyway: CZ97.

Wont the CZ mags work in a Deagle?

They are close, but the magazine catch is slightly different.
