I just purchased a Wilson Combat CQB in the grey Armor Tuff finish.  I get to pick it up on Tuesday.

The next three days are really going to pass slowly.

Did you order it? or was it Dealer stock? If ordered, how long was the wait?

I've been thinking of getting one, just can't afford it, yet

Don't forget the pics and range report.

I'm curious about the delivery time, also.  I ordered a KZ-45 the last week of December.  I was told it would take 4 weeks.  When the time was up, still no KZ.  Then, I was told the second week of Feb.  Today, a little over 7 weeks later, still no KZ.  Now, my dealer says it will be another two weeks.

At Wilson's prices, I expected the delivery process to be a little more reliable.  Does anyone else have similar delivery stories, or is my experience an anomaly?  I'm still hoping the product will eliminate the disappointment I'm feeling by not receiving the KZ as promised.  Damn!  I want to get it out to the range and do a comparison side-by-side test with my Kimber TLE!

Aside from that, let us know how the CQB performs.

I have bought several 1911s from Terry Peters at www.pt-partners.com/ . He trys to stock semicustom pistols such as Wilson, so if he has what you are looking for you will have no wait.

The gun had just come in for stock on Friday afternoon and they had not even opened the box to put it in the display case.

I think I was in the right place at the right time.

I actually went out to buy a Kimber TLE.  When the guy at the gun shop said they just got a CQB in stock, I knew I was in trouble.

I will post pics and a range report as soon as possible.

There will be pics, correct?

Absolutely!  Pics to follow.

I just have to wait my three day waiting period.  You know the State of Illinois believes that I may be buying the gun to do harm to someone and that I don't want to use any of the other scores of guns I own, so the state thinks it's best to make me wait three days.  If I think of that concept long enough will it begin to make sense?  I didn't think so.

Here are the pics...

I am hoping to go to the range this weekend.

My thoughts exactly.

There is something magical about a fine 1911, it's like good wine, a beautiful woman or a classic musclecar.

You're going to love that gun I know I do my CQB.

I had a friend with the green armor tough finish on his CQB. The finish started flaking off almost immediately with holster wear. It was a leather suede lined holster. Rather disappointing.

Four years of open and concealed carry on the original Armor-Tuff finish:

If you have a problem with Wilson's finish, they will make it right for you.

Congrats on the new member of your family.

By the way, is it just me or have other people started to picture which color VZ grips would go best each time they see a nice 1911?

Nice Wilson Lumpy! You are right that Wilson Combat will make it right if there is a problem.  I spoke with someone from Wilson before I bought my CQB and I was really impressed with the manner in which my questions were answered.  I also ordered some magazines and agin was told if I ever have any problems to just give them a call.

This weekend is supposed to be in the 50's, so I am off to the range.
