Sending off my Delta Elite and 9mm 1991 Colt to Wilson Combat to have some work done:

3 dot sights
checker front strap
extended thumb safety
beavertail grip safety
commander hammer (for 9mm)
trigger job
flat & checkered mainspring housing
bulletproof extractor

Both guns are range guns bought NIB from old stock. The finish on both guns are perfect. I don't carry either and I have no reliability problems. However, I would like the ergonomics of the checkered front strap, extended thumb safety, flat & checkered mainspring housing, and beavertail grip safety. I did the bulletproof extractor because I figured while it is there... And a nicer trigger can't hurt. But I see no reason to do the hammer on the Delta, because the Delta hammer is similar to the commander hammer and no chance of bite. I see no reason to mess with the barrel or bushing, because they are both pretty accurate and reliable as they are now. And lastly, I was going to do the bulletproof slide stop, but I have a hard time believing that this thing will break.

BTW, I previously swapped out the stock recoil guide rod in the DE for a Wilson FLGR and Wolf spring.

Am I forgetting something? I know it would be nice to have Wilson do more, but cost is always a consideration.

Looks good.

Colt uses good slide stops, no reason to replace them with Wilson parts.

You might consider having the barrel lugs welded up and fitted to the slide, and a fitted barrel bushing, if you want the most in accuracy potential.

No need for slide to frame fitting, as the cost to benefit ratio is much too small.

Good advice.  The fitment of the barrel is more important than slide to frame fit with regards to accuracy.

I was a little reluctant to change the bushing because I did not want to have to use a wrench for takedown even without a flgr.

Come to think of it, my CQB's bushing is not TOO tight, so maybe I will have them do the match bushing, while it is there, and since it is relatively inexpensive.
