When my local shop still had them, maybe 5 years ago, they were $1100.

I think they have been deleted from the lineup, though their Spec-Ops 9 seems to use a similar frame.

If I want a poly 1911 frame, I'll spedn the money on a STI or SVI.

I personally don't own said weapon but my father has 2 in 45.  from my experience shooting them, id say a good buy.
I know the price is up there for a 10 rnd polymer 1911 but u generally get what you pay 4 , wilson's a great company with top notch prod

best handgun ever created IMO.

could've used a tweak here and there, but IMO the best there was is and will be.

I owned one, it was decent but I rate it as a mistake purchase. If they had made it 13 or 14 rounds it would be great, however 10 is lame.

Mine was quite accurate and after breaking off the original external extractor and Wilson fixing it with the new and improved version it functioned quite well. It was just not the tool I needed for the games I wanted to play. I sold it and bought a Dillon XL650 with the funds, best move ever.

I honestly wish I had bought 2-3 Glocks instead of that pistol. YMMV.

no reason to make it bulkier than it had to be.... .2530 grains of 45 should handle most if not all threats before a reload.

grip just as slim as a 1911 with grips, WC reliability and accuracy.....

for a grand, I think it's a steal.

gripes:
-how hard would it be to build on a rail instead of clamp on?
-doesn't fit ALL 1911 holsters as advertised.
-new price is a bit high

All that would be required to add capacity would be to modify the magazine. I found the grip to feel much different than my WC Protector and it did have some holster issues. It is a good gun, a good value but it is the bastard child of 1911's.

As to 10 rounds of 45ACP, I don't feel the least bit under gunned with 13 rounds of 9mm in my G26 and the G26 is a much more suited for carry than the KZ.

Think I will skip it..  Just seen it on Budsguns for 1189 and thought wow a wilson, but I googled it and not very facorable..

maybe because its not the "traditional" 1911

1000% I don't think either model of KZ is a carry gun.
then again, I don't think commander 1911's are carry guns either.
