I just picked up two Wilson 47D mags today and noticed that they are a little harder to push the top of the mag past the Mag catch than my kimber or my other 2 mags that came with my Springer. Is this normal? It doesn't seem like it takes excessive force but just a little more tap to get them in. Anyone else notice this? Also does anyone know who makes the mags that ship with springfields? Thanks Deer slayer |
My Wilson 47D's are exactly the same way. I have to really slam them up in there. The factory Springers use Mecgars, if I am not mistaken... and those slap right in. |
Indeed. That is why Wilson uses such weak springs. And the weak springs are one of the reasons I don't use Wilson mags. [email protected] |
What mags do you prefer? JD |

They are even harder to seat when theres 8 rnds in them but im just talking about the metal part in front of the feed lips getting past the mag catch. What mags to you like better than the wilsons? i just picked 2 of the 47D s up at the range to see if they were as nice as i keep hearing. i still havnt got to put anything thru them so hopefully they are realiable as people say. i realy dont know for sure yet Deer Slayer |
