Looking for a nice full size 9mm. I think I have narrowed my choices to the Wilson Classic or Nighthawk Talon. Any opinions?

Of the two mentioned,id go Wilson.Ive owned 4 Nighthawks, while all ran ok.Workmanship wasnt consistent gun to gun.
Ive owned a few Wilsons and still own two.....gun to gun workmanship is consistent.
One of my early Wilsons had over 40,000 rounds thru it before i sold it with only spring changes.

Prefer Nighthawk personally also might want to look at Guncrafter. Lately Wilsons QC and CS isn't what it once was NH is on top of their game as of lately.. Guncrafter Gun to gun will be the most consistent But has limited amount of options available if that matters to you. If just going with a basic build Go with a Guncrafter. If looking to add to it and trick it all out go with a  NH or a WC. NH getting the nod from me as they seem to be putting out a nicer product lately then Wilson. Also NH and Guncrafter use a Melonite finish instead of a Spray bake Armortuff  Like WC is using which is far more wear resistant than Armortuff is. Armortuff is basically about as wear resistant as Cerokote which isn't that great. And Both Guncrafter and NH Customer service if you ever needed to use it is better than WC.

Of those two I'd go Wilson! Actually saving up for one myself.  I'm a les Baer fan but for the 9mm I want a Wilson.

I have two NHC pistols a Falcon & Costa Compact (Warhawk) they are fantastic firearms.  I have 11,000 rds between the two of them, I used to be a Les Baer fanboy but Nighthawks are a lot nicer.  My experience with Nighthawk's customer service has been very good, but someday I wouldn't mind picking up a Wilson.

Ordering sight unseen?  Wilson.  Get to handle them in person?  Toss up.  Wilsons fit and finish is a lot more consistent than Nighthawk, so I wouldn't buy a Nighthawk without getting to handle it first.

My 4" WC in 9mm has been flawless so far, even through the "break in period."

I always thought the script printed on NH's have always been too gawdy while WC has been sleek.

I believe NHC has more options than Wilson plus the 25 lpi front strap checking is my personal favorite.  And remember Nighthawks are built by one gunsmith start to finish you have to get a Supergrade Wilson for one gunsmith build.  One could argue over which one is better what it comes down to, do the research ask some questions, try to handle some of each.  Then purchase the the pistol you desire or order to your specifications both offer many options you don't have to settle for a specific model.

I would also add the Dan Wesson Specialist to the list in all SS so you wont need
to worry much about surface/finish wear...

The Dan Wesson 1911's are among the best values in traditional style single stack
1911's with a combination of excellent quality materials, CNC manufacturing for the
frame and slide and combo tool steel/billet parts that are then hand fitted...

If you have a LGS near by that stocks these brands, I would definitely give them a
look and feel one in your hands to compare the quality and fit/finish...

A reasonable $1,700 MSRP for a high quality 1911 loaded with many custom touches...
with a bit of luck, under$1,500 OTD.

Good luck.

Both Wilson Combat and Nighthawk are great companies. There are going to be those that are loyal to one company and say one is "better."

Figure out the options you want and go from there. Either will suit you just fine and I doubt (if you don't already own multiple semi custom or custom 1911's) that you will be disappointed in either.

Dan Wesson makes great production 1911's. But there IS a difference when compared to semi custom or custom 1911's. Les Baer 1911's (semi custom) are closer in price to Dan Wesson's than the other two...worth looking at if they have a model you like, however Les Baer has -less- options.

Wisin, by far.  Nighthawk is a crap shoot.

I have a NHC Recon Enforcer in 10mm. Best, most accurate and most reliable 1911 I've ever owned after 38 years of collecting Colts, Kimbers, and more recently Dan Wessons.

My NH GRP Recon has been great. Have had it for several years now. Only issues it's ever given me were two FTF problems on the same outing a couple months ago. But I'm 99% sure that only happened because I had never cleaned the thing up until that point. LoL.

Great gun, ordered new, will never sell.
