I've recently got the itch to buy a new 1911 and want to get the best for my money. I was looking at the Wilsons and Nighhawks because they seem to be the best to customize or to just buy from the dealer stock. I couldn't really make up my mind because theres so many options. What do guys think the best model each has that is under 3k. |

I have a Nighthawk Enforcer and love it.
The nice thing about Nighthawk is that it's a custom pistol. You can start with a GRP and customize from there with what you want. Thicker barrel bushing, barrel crowned to bushing, different serrations or front strap checkering, different safety types, etc. You can even supply parts and they'll use those (though they will inform you if the parts don't match, which can happen when mixing parts). Regardless, you can't go wrong with either. |
| I have a Nighthawk talon 2 bobtail and a Nighthawk Vickers Tactical. I would also buy the Enforcer if I were in the market today since the Vickers is no longer available. The caspian frame with the built in plunger tube and mag well is awesome. Get the Heinie straight eight night sights and serrated rear slide, it is a great sight picture. Both my Nighthawks are the best 1911 pistols I have ever owned including the Wilson CQB I used to own. |
| After the hell I have put my MC Operator through my money will be going to Springfield when I decide I need a custom 1911. If I can take a stock gun of theirs like they MC operator run it wet , dry , dirty , clean , hunting, and training for thousands of rounds without a single malfuntion I'm kind of scared to see what a Custom Shop gun will do. |

When your criteria for a supercar is 0-60 in under 4, 170+ top speed, and brings in the tail if you do your part, one is as good as the other. It all boils down to preference. Semicustoms are all roughly equal where it counts, accurate, reliable, well fit with great parts. Granted, there are subtle differences, like level of customization, warranty, service, platforms, and finishes, but the real determinant is personal preference.
Personally I prefer Wilson. I am a very satisfied customer and I prefer their style to the less subtle style of NH. |

Springfield Professional. *Wilson sux and so does NH. I already did. Where have you been? Here and there. Was hoping you would elaborate, but I understand if you can't. On second thought, never mind. I can, but you don't wanna hear it. |

SGB I think this guy must have some sort of stake in the Springfield custom shop because I've seen him sing the praises of the Springer professional on several forums while talking down the Wilson's, etc... I just usually ignore him because you can't cure stuck on stupid. Back on subject, I prefer the Wilson. I have a CQB Elite and really love it. |

The reason I speak poorly of Wilsons and Les Baers is because I owned them and suffered disappointment. If you have a Wilson without issues, you must be happy. I wasn't.
I find it amazing that so many folks here resort to libel and personal attacks when unable to defend their position. |
