| I have been following weapon light threads on ar15.com for some time and purchased an XC-1 despite reservations from many knowledgable folks here. Compact size was important to me and light output adequate for me. (Brighter lights ruin my night vision). I own several other Surefire products including suppressors. So I was disapointed when I tried to install it on my G19. the rail clamps appeared to be out of spec and required alot of lubrication (graphite) to insert into the light body. Even then it was very difficult to bring the wedges uniformly into place without one binding. It appears to be very important to start out with the rail clamps one half past the light body and then to make sure they track equally as you tighten the rail adjustment bolt. Is this normal? I am still under 30 day warranty. |
