I just picked up my XD 40 sub yesterday. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. I bought it for my everyday carry and was kinda hung up on whether to buy a 9mm or the 40. The main reason I went with the 40 was because 9mm is damn hard to find right now. I have a XDm in 40 also, so I am a little bias towards that caliber. I'm just not sure how it'll shoot in such a small pistol. I was just curious if any of you guys have this pistol and what do you think?

I've got an XD 40SC and love the pistol. Shooting it is a blast too. The grip is good with the extended magazine/grip spacer. I take mine everywhere I can.

Have had my XD40 sub compact for a few years. Shoots fine. Trigger is a bit light but handles great. Enjoy the new toy.

My XDsc .40 is one of 3-4 carry guns In my rotation.

It never ceases to amaze me how accurate this little pistol is.

It's not just mine either, my two shooting buddies both have the same pistol and theirs are just as accurate.

they guy next to me at the range today had the XDsc 9.... great shooting gun.  He was shooting it for the 1st time.  Strangely it jammed up a round so bad he had to get the gunsmith to clear it.  The damn slide would not move at all.  It appeared the round fed at a severe/strange angle or something.  I left before it was resolved.   Anyone else have their XDsc jam that bad?

I've seen several guns jam but not that bad.

Also, I've seen several XDsc's and they're all reliable ... so this was strange to me.

XDsc .40 is on my list to get.

It's in my carry rotation also.  Get to the range, practice with it and see how you like it.  I enjoy it a lot.

My XDSC has made me put a light on my HK USP and relegate it for nightstand duty. Enjoy it.

One issue I have seen is with 180 gr it periodically jams but with 160 gr it doesn't. Was at the range a few days ago and happened again. Anyone else see this with the different loads?

No.  Mine eats anything.  135s, 155s, 165s, 180s.  Ive put over 1000 rounds through it and had 2 jams,  limp wrist from my buddy and a random ftf.
