So, last year i got a 45gap and already it looks like the gap round is going south. Is there any way that i can switch to 40 or 9? I have seen the 40 to 9 and I would like to do the same. I'm hoping really hard that my gun didn't become obsoliete in 1 year.

You could always trade it in towards a .45ACP

Trade is not really an option for me... its my first hand gun and i got it for my 21st birthday, so i'm a little attached to it.

The lesson I learned was to shoot main stream rounds.  The reason behind it is that you simplify your ammo needs.  Unless you are a reloader then I stay with the 9mm, 35, 357 magnum.  That's just me.

I don't see it going south I think that it will be around  and I think with SA putting out a 5" tatical XD both in gap and acp they will retort with something and the more guns they have in that cal the more ammo will be made for them and the cheaper it will become.

I say if its your first gun keep it shoot it love it and there will be ammo out there

I dont see why you should get rid of it.  GAP will be around.... XD isn't the only handgun out there.
