I live in TX. I recently located a XD 9mm Sub Compact with magazine extension and one magazine. They want $439.00 + tax. It is a new weapon. Is this to much for an XD Sub Compact? Thank you for you help.

Good buy!  I tried the XD SC 9 mm in my Super Tuck and really like the idea of the reduced barrel poke down into your pants (vs the XDM 9mm), significantly lighter weight, and in particular the shorter grip which meant that the gun in the 3:30 position did not intrude into the back of a chair when you sit down.  The  mag extension is also a nice touch!

The funny thing is that for whatever reason out there, most of the reviews of this gun quotes a 10+1 and 16+1 round mag capacity for the two supplied 9 mm magazines – the real capacity is 13+1 and 16+1!

That's a good price. I'd grab it if you're looking for one.

The other thing I notice about the XD SC is that it is much easier to draw from a Super Tuck than a XDM, mostly because of the significantly shorter barrel which makes clearing the holster a breeze.  That $439 price is a smoking price indeed - The best price I have come across is $460 and that was at a gun show, it is on sale at Cabela's but is still $519!

The Gun Zone has the XD9sc for $399 which is the "Bare Essentials" package (no XD accessories) at the last fun show.  I believe what you are looking at is the same pacakge which is still a great price.

I bought mine a couple of months ago for $449.00 before tax and that was the best price I could find in DFW.  It was the "Loaded" package with the mag holder and holster.

I just bought an XD-40 sub compact today at a gun show for 439.00.  It came to about $490.00 out the door.  I thought it was a good deal.  Cheapest I've seen for new.

The "2006 package" is sold with 10 and 16 round magazines so it is not a typo.

I ended up buying my XD40 sub essentials from bud's.  It was $439 shipped and my FFL only charges me $10, for $449 I got it total.  At the local stores they are going for $499+tax.  One of the store owners told me that they could not compete with Bud's.
