| So what do you guys think of them when mounted on a Glock pistol? |
|
I had them on a G27. I didn't care for the big dot. I have never tried their smaller dot. Yes it is true they are very fast to pick up and place on target. For close range instinctive point shooting it is a good sight - a great sight. For aimed shooting it wasn't good for me. I think it was an issue of being used to 3 dot style and not practicing aimed fire with that pistol often. It was for carry and I did most practice with it for self defense - ie: point shooting , retention shooting , shooting and moving and trying to get hits quickly with reasonable accuracy. Not a one hole gun or sight for bullseye shooting. But it rocked for fast shooting at torso sized targets moderately close. I've since sold that gun , but my decision wasn't based on the XS sight at all. I would get one again for a carry gun maybe. But for now have decided to set up all my sights the same. IMO : Carry gun? - yes. Range/target gun? - maybe. I'll have to check out the smaller dot - it could be a winner. JC |
From my range trip yesterday. 12" x 21" FBI QIT97 steel silhouette at 50 yards. 15 hits out of 17 shots at a 1 shot per second pace. Glock 17 with XS Big Dot sights. If you can't make the hits at distance... it's YOU not the sights. |
