I recently purchased a USP tactical. As you can imagine, I love the gun. I'm not crazy about the sights because I have become accustomed to the Truglo day.night sights that are on my XD SC carry weapon. I don't plan to use it for concealed carry although there may times when I might open carry it. It's primary purpose is for 3 gun shooting and home defense. I doubt I'll ever buy a can for it as I have one for another gun and find them to be more a conversation piece than a practical necessity (MHO). Can anyone recommend some aftermarket sights that are lower profile and have at least night capability? Bomber |

Meprolight, Trijicon, LPA, just to name a few. Then there is my favorite aftermarket sight, the MMC low profile adjustable sights. Since you don't need a high profile sight to see over a can, check out the MMC sights for the standard USP. I have three sets of MMC sights and could not be more pleased with the sights and their customer service. I had a sight go dim after 4 years and they replaced the sight, even taking it out of my slide and reinstalling it and all I was out was one way shipping to them and I had the slide back within 10 days. They are rock solid and completely snag proof. Best sights out there IMHO. Since you like the Tru-Glo sights, why not just put them on the Tac. They make sights for the USP don't they? If so, there is no difference between the Tac and the USP slide except for the type of sights put in. |
Yep, the Mep adjustable night sights are the same dimensions, just a little deeper in the blade to accomodate the tritium vials. I actually put standard Meps for the USPf of my Tactical.. I disliked the adjustables, and if I ever get a can I'll want either Mep adjustible night sights or MMC adjustables, if they're tall enough to clear. |

I like my Heinie sights. They work great. They make standard height ones, but I got the Tactical sights since I intend to get a suppressor eventually. www.heinie.com ![]() ![]() ![]() |
