After only carrying a 1911 for years, I bought a Glock 19 to appendix carry. I have a 10 week old daughter and I got tired of pulling down my shirt (carry 1911 at 4:30) when carrying her in her car seat and constantly having to bend down to pick up various dropped things. I also like the idea of the pistol being in the front of my body where I can see if little hands are near it for the future. Anyways, the only thing I'm not loving about the Glock is the trigger and am looking to install a Zev Tech trigger (and I have read all the posts advising not to swap triggers on a carry gun, but this is what I want to do). I have owned/shot Glocks for a while but always preferred the 1911 trigger, so this isn't just me not being used to it. What is the difference between the adjustable trigger and the pro trigger and what are the pros/cons of both. Zev's site doesn't give a very good description and I haven't yet heard back from them after emailing them.

I have two ZEV triggers in two carry weapons.
The adjustable is just as it states. You can adjust both take up and pre travel to near nothing, which I don't advise on a carry pistol.

The trigger shoe itself is wider and much more comfortable to pull that a stock trigger.

Love mine. I will tell you both set ups feel completely different.
My Gen 3 G23 has a trigger as closest to a 1911 pull as I could possibly hope for in a striker fired pistol.

The Gen 4 G27 is just a very nice "Glock" pull.

Do you have the pro trigger in your carry guns? Maybe part of my confusion is that I'm only seeing an adjustable trigger and a pro trigger on Zev's website but I've also read about a duty trigger that I have been assuming is the same as the pro. Sorry if I have this all screwed up but the website isn't explanatory and most reviews I've read are regarding race guns, not carry guns.

The adjustable trigger is adjustable for pre- and over-travel.  The Pro isn't.  You don't really want the adjustable one for a carry gun as the adjustment screws could potentially shift and render it inoperable.  Not a huge deal in a competition gun, but bad news in a carry gun.

While I understand the potential of the screws changing, mine have not. ZEV uses Loctite on them, I'd imagine blue because they are adjustable but they do not turn freely.

If I did it again, I would probably just get a nice duty set up.

My last Gen 4 G19, I just polished the trigger bar, connector and striker. Called it good.

Mine haven't moved either, but I suppose it could happen.

I also just bought the Zev Ultimate trigger,(adjustable). Installed it in my glock 19 with the stock firing pin spring no adjustments made to the trigger. (factory setting).
The trigger feels a ton more smooth and about a pound lighter. The break seems about the same, as does the reset.

I proceeded to change the striker spring to the 2lbs along with the zev striker and the break got a lot more mushy and delayed. Tried to adjust the trigger but the scews would not
budge. I used heat to break the screws loose but it still would not budge. I called Zev about the issue and they said to send it to them and they will replace the trigger and bar.

The system seems better with the stock striker and spring but haven't tried adjusting it yet. I'll send it back to Zev and try it again.

I have the adjustable and the nonadjustable Zevs, both installed on separate new Gen4 Glock 19's. Both are a big improvement over stock or stock plus 3.5 connecter. They both feel more precise and predictable.

The non-adjustable on my carry 19 , the adjustable is on my range gun.

They both work great with the adjustable being a little lighter and crisper.

There's something wrong with the parts or the way they're installed. Mine are super crisp with the 2 lb striker springs.

After a couple thousand rounds the adjustment screws has not backed out of my Zev Technologies Fulcrum Ultimate trigger kit on my Glock 19 gen 3.  I've adjusted the trigger and used some blue Loctite to lock in the screws.
