Having some probs with factory Glock 31 round 9mm mags.  Does anyone know if Glock will replace these?

Call Glock. They have great customer service and warranty. Even during the ban I had a cracked old Non-FML mag. I called Glock and they replaced it for $5.00.

I'm not really up to speed on Glocks but isn't the 31 the .357 model? I don't see how 9mm mags are coming into play here. This being ARFCOM, I'm sure someone will explain this to me in short order.
And I apologize to Glock223 forthe thread hijack.

He said the "Glock 31 round" not "Glock model 31"

i.e. magazines for the glock 18 machine pistol, they are 31 or 33 rounds with the extended floorplate and fit all 9mm glocks.

Well, ChuckyT, this is ARFCOM, but we are in the Handgun section, so I thought my question would be appropriate.

Hey Glock223,  did you by any chance obtain these from Botach?   Just curious, since I picked up a pair from them myself but haven't had a chance to test them out.

By the way, what problems were you having exactly?

Thanks.

I got one mag with the rifle from Atlantic Firearms and I bought the other three from a dealer at Knob Creek last month.  Three of the mags aren't seating in the mag well of my 9mm AR unless the bolt is locked back.  When firing the rifle, the top round in the magazine is being forced nose down back into the mag body, forcing the magazine out of the rifle and somewhat stripping the mag catch on the mag body.  There, was that clear as mud? lol.  Anyway, just sentthe three that I'm having probs with back to Glock today, hopefully they will replace them for me.

Thanks, Glock223.    I just found it pretty strange that you had "3" with identical problems, too.  Will have to definitely test mine out soon.   Thanks for the info.

I just gonna guess and say it's the magwell, not the mags, that created the problem.

My guess as well...I have rarely seen Glock factory mags that were not correct or did not work right out of the box. You will most likely need to modify the Glock mags to work in your mag well.

Thanks guys, was kinda suspecting that too, but don't want to start grinding on mags yet.

Glock223, Your question was appropriate as far as I'm concerned. Who thought different??

Well, heard from Glock concerning my mags and they said that there was nothing that they could do because they weren't being used in a Glock handgun and in and Oly/Glock 9mm rifle.  So they are sending the mags back to me, but the tech did tell me to take a nail file to the mag catch and that they would probably work just fine then.  Thought I would see if Glock would replace them, no big deal.  Will do some "fixin'" on them when I get them back and let you guys know the outcome.
