Are these retired DET-1 pistols or ones that were sold illegally?   If it was the later, then a message would've come out via military intra-net message traffic.  It would add some validity to this possible, "Urban Legend".  I haven't head anything.

There was one in my area.  It was for sale, and GONE within hours of me hearing about it.

Any idea how much?

Never heard the exact number, and when I asked, I got a wink from the dealer that had it.

I didnt ask any further.  I was told it WAS marked DET-1.  This all happened about 6 months before the Warrior came out, so I know there was no confusion as to what it was.
