Hey guys.

I have a P220, s/n range G17xxxx.  I used the "How old is my Sig" - the letter stamps indicate it was made in 1990.  I was thinking of getting the .22 conversion kit.  Before I buy, I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with them?

It seems that I read about there being problems using the conversion kit with older Sigs when the kits first came out, but I was not able to find anything about this when I last checked.

My pistol does not have the heel / European mag release, so no worries there.

Anyone have thoughts / opinions?

Thank you for any help!

I have a new P220R that came as a .22LR gun with an upgrade coupon in the box.  Initially my gun was problematic.  The mags would fall out of position and cause jams, etc.  I sent the gun back to Sig and they fixed it.  I would recommend checking with Sig or the retailer you're buying the conversion from on your question.  You may get the answer here, but I'd trust the other sources more.

No offense to the members of the board.
