Picked up a new P938 off Gunbroker, with factory threaded barrel.

Sweet little gun!

Thoughts, Love the gun, I've had a few of the different small .22's that were pot metal and hated them. This one's much nicer. Night sights, alum frame that's well made. The receiver/lower is the same as the 938 and 238's.

Trigger is well ok, it's crap like ALL the 938's. At least it's crisp and the reset is solid, but the break has got to be 8-10 pounds. Sig reallllly failed on this point; this is my main and only real complaint; for a gun with a safety this trigger is flat out horrible. It will get worked on soon.

Next issue, abet minor, flipping the safety ON is hard, off is fine, on is a little tough. I can do it but my wife can't. I suspect it will break in better after being flipped on and off a few hundred times.

Slide lock back is meh, it locks back on the mag not the actual slide stop. Minor but a point to make. The mags are very well made, plastic, but built like tanks. Only complaint is the button to move the follower down for loading is a bit small, but again nit picking here.

The thread protector is nice, one of the nicer one's I've ever gotten. The fit of my suppressor AAC Element is perfect.

I just picked up my 938 SAS today and I've got the same complaint; the trigger is WAY too heavy for this gun. They could have been perfectly fine with putting a 5-6# trigger in it. I may try the Galloway spring to see how that does.

How in the heck did the P938 come out in .22LR and I never even notice?

I'm slipping.  Cool rig, OP.  I have the threaded 9mm version.

Is that the long slide Target model (4" bbl)? I ordered a threaded barrel from SIG, and the sent the short one. When I called them, they said there were no threaded barrels available for the Target models. They were nice about it, refunding my money and paying for the return shipping, but I was annoyed and surprised that SIG is just not thinking about giving the options we want/need.

No it's the standard slide.

I think I saw a post on Sig forum that the barrels you were wanting was orderable (not in stock)?

Also ADCO can probably do a threaded extension for you.

Very cool and I am jealous. That's a little assassin gun.
