I added a Glock Factory +2 extension on my model 26 magazine, when I put 12 rounds in it they rattle... a lot, it doesn't happen with 11 or any other number of rounds. Any suggestions??? |
| Never had any problems. Recently though I have been using www.concealablecontrol.com/about.html and I have been really impressed. They help with the grip without adding length. I realize that this kind of defeats the added rounds purpose but it sure helps wit h control. |

This problem was actually discussed in my armorer's class. Due to the design of the glock magazine, the rounds on the left hand side of the magazine (when looking from the back) are not supported by spring tension when the mag is full. Only the rounds on the right side are under tension, allowing the rounds on the left to "rattle". All Glock mags are prone to this, however, the use of mag extensions seems to magnify the problem. It does not affect magazine performance in any way. I have found that "rapping" the base of the mag sharply on a table top tends to seat the rounds and eliminate the rattle. Dave |
