I am looking to get a lever action .357 to match up with my revolver and was hoping someone with experience could help me out. I have looked at the Winchester and the Henry versions in person, and the Marlin via internet. The problem is they all look the same to me. Is there one that stands above the rest quality wise? I was hoping to stay with a 16-20 inch barrel and full length mag tube. Any ideas

My favorite has always been the older, pre-safety button Marlin. They are out there but you have to search for them. I would still prefer a new Marlin over the others mentioned, simply because I have had uniformly excellent results from their rifles over the years, and because mounting optics is so much easier, but I detest the new safety buttons, and I have no experience with the Henry or Puma.

I would trust Winchester and Marlin before Henry.  I've read-although don't know for sure-that they use plastic parts in their rifles.  I guess I'm a Win/Mar type of guy anyway, so I'd definitely recommend one of those two.

Great choice to have a revo and rifle in the same caliber!

Does it have to be a lever action? I have an IMI Timberwolf and just love it. The Timberwolf is a slide action(pump). It never fails to impress people when they say 'it's only shooting a pistol bullet'. But I think any .357 rifle will do that.
On the other hand a friend of mine has a Rossi Puma which is a lever action .357 and it also shoots real well. I think both guns are out of production but I see them at gun shows an occasion at not too bad of a price.
