Does any one have a beretta in .380 or have you shot one? Are they reliable and what is the recoil like? I am thinking about getting one for my wife since I can not find a compact single stack 9mm.

I have a Beretta M1934 that was a WWII bring back.  It shoots GREAT.  Recoil wasn't bad, and accuracy was excellent.

I've never used a model 84, but they seem to be well built and I've known a couple women who liked them qutie a bit.  They're double stack, but due to the shorter .380 round the grip is smaller than a 9mm.

had an 85f, loved it, sold it because I needed the money. One of the dumbest things I've ever done.  Smooth, smooth shooter.

Hard to go wrong with a company that has been doing the same things for 480 some years.

I had one and really liked it. Recoil was very mild. I figured it would be a good gun for my girlfriend. She liked to shoot it, but had some difficulty with the slide. There is not a lot to hold on to, and it was hard for her to pull it back. Ended up trading it and have regretted it ever since. I should have kept it for me and got her something else instead.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like the age old sold it and regret it. I have done that to many times myself. LOL.

My wife has the model 86 with the tip up barrel.  She loves it.  Recoil is mild & she doesnt have to rack the slide to chamber a round.  Just pop up the barrel & drop in a round.  At 5ft 100lbs shes always had trouble racking slides.
