Every gun has some instances where a gun blows up.  It is usually ammo related so just watch what you feed it and even then I don't think you have to worry about anything.

Feed it right and it will not blow chunks.

Don't listen to internet bullshit. .40 Glock's are the most popular handgun in the country (continent?) for a reason.

I believe the Glock 17 is the most popular Glock in the world.... :)

I have over 5,000 rds thru one Glock 23.

I have over 2,000 rds thru one Glock 22.

There would be a higher number, but ammo became retardedly expensive.

I have no problems to report.

Hmmmm...I wonder why.

I predict this thread will explode due to the violent nature of the topic being discussed.

had my g23 since 1998, thousands of rounds down the pipe.

I have thousands of rounds through my Glock 27, 23, 22 and 35 without issues. But I do not shoot reloads through them. All of the ammo has been factory new.

Just shoot quality factory or very well made home reloads (moderate to milder).

Run too hot and any gun of any caliber can kaboom.

Had a G21 brass case rupture on my a year ago.  My friend was shooting my G21 and the mag bloew out the bottom.  Case just backed out of the chamber slightly and failed.  Barrel fine.  New mag and mag release though.

No worries - just make sure you have a current 40SW Glock barrel or but aftermarket if you want to shoot lead or reload - like me

I had a G22 with over 5k through it.
traded that for a G22 RTF2 with now about 600 rounds.
I have a G27 with unknown round count (used from keisler), but I have put almost 500 through it.
all with no problems what so ever.

when products are made in high numbers you are always bond to have one fail or they wouldn't need quality control.

My G22 had over 27,000rds through it when I converted it to a custom G24 recently.  The stock slide and barrel still look new and in all those rounds I had zero firearm failures with it.  Yep, not a single one.  I had primers that wouldn't light and damaged cases that wouldn't chamber but my G22 was not responsible for a single failure to feed, fire, or eject.

I don't know about the world or even the continent, but there is no doubt the Glock 22/23 is in more U.S. peace officer's holsters than anything else, at least for the time being.  Part of that has to do with successful marketing by the Glock folks, but more of that has to do with the absolute fact that combination of gun and cartridge are very, very well suited to the task of arming the rank and file officer/deputy/agent as well as the reasonably diligent citizen.  For reasons I can't explain to my wife, I own a 17, 19, 22, and 23.  I carry the 23.  Even if ammo wasn't free, I don't know what would make a 19 a better choice.

It is internet Bullshit I have the G27 that I bought back in 1996 and I put over a 3,790 rnds throw it and it is still going strong
