I have some new Glock 19 10 round mags. Do the #3 followers work with the NEW mags? The net says that the #3 followers are for the OLD STYLE mags. What is the difference? The reason I am changing them is because when I load 1 Federal Hst in the mag and try and rack the slide, the round jams on the feed ramp and I have heard the #3 followers work but the net says they are for old style mags....

Contact Glock and explain your issue, and they will most likely send you the curved followers. That's what they did when I explained the same issue I was having with my 10 round mags.

you posted the same damn thing 3 days ago.... come on.  And it had been 20min.  Are you in that big of hurry?

Anyways... what follower is in there?  FYI old-style represents the pre-metal insert mags.  The 2183 followers suck (10 round mags suck in general but whatever... I have no idea why you don't just sell those on Ebay and buy some standard 15rnd mags) but anyways... if you have the 2183-2 follower (which i assume you do bc i know they have caused this same issue), you can replace it with the #3.  It should fix that last round hang-up issue you have.

ETA:  It should work just fine when actually running the pistol... hand cycling isn't really a "function" check.  Also, that last round that hangs up, try racking the slide twice and see if it goes in.  If not and if not being able to hand cycle that last round really bothers you, buy the #3.

No... they switched to full metal lined around 1990.  Around this time, they redesigned followers and some other shit too.  IDK Glock mags have changed a few times.  They started on as non-metal lined, non-drop free mags (this was intentional).  Then they switched to the FML mags.  The 10 round mags were introduced during the 1994 ban.  IIRC around 2004 they changed the tube a little and the followers (but i don't know if this is even applies to the 10-round mags).  So, IDK what they are referring to as "old style" ... might be pre 2004.  All you need to know is that the 2183-2 can be replaced with the #3 followers in those 10 round mags.  There are 4 generations of standard cap glock mags, I don't know how many changes have been made to the 10 rounders.
