| I just bought a Kimber Clssic Stainless. I am wondering if it is ok to shoot a limited number of +p rounds through this gun. My carry ammo is Hornady TAP 200 grn +P. I have looked on Kimbers website and have not found anything regarding +p ammo. |

+P works OK in My Eclipse and Pro Carry II, but this thread http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=222573 Claims to have an excerpt from a letter from Kimber to LE agencies, which says +P not recommended.

I carry 230g TAP +P in my TLE II. It eats it fine. My older TLE II also runs it fine.
They both have ate everything I fed them. My Older TLE II (Ext extractor), has had close to 5K threw her and it still shoots tight groups. Most of the rounds were 230g ball, and the 100rd umc value packs from wally world. They were also 230g hollow points. I shot a lot of +P stuff threw her as well. My newer TLE II, I carry on duty, ran 100 rds of the TAP +P before I carried that ammo in it. |
