it all depends, kinda. 45 acp is based on a 5 inch barrel. for each inch you cut off you drop 50 fps. If I remember correctly, 40 S&W was based on a 4 inch tube. But ammo companies are starting to come out with short barrel ammo like Speer GD. But at the least if you go to +P or just a slightly lighter bullet, you will gain your fps back, if you care about that kind of thing. |
