Ive been looking around for a carry gun for in my truck. I will need it prob. in earlier spring when work starts back up. I want something that I can go out and pop a couple cans every now and then but I dont have a lot to spend on it. I seen hi-point was a cheaply priced gun but after reading more into it, I have second thoughts, however I have seen different types of Beretta's on gunbroker.com that were price pretty well. (250 and down) what are your guy's thoughts on what I should be looking for?

Get a 9mm 92 used for cheep and it willbe a good reliable pistol. You can also look for a nice used Smith and wesson 3rd Gen semi-auto like a 5906. I prefer the Smith as it is all steel and extreemly durrable and reliable.
Look at www.summitgunbroker.com for great prices on used guns. I have bought a few from them.

what models of berettas are you refering to?

exactly what purpose will this HG be needed for? --ie.: more self defense, small animals, mostly plinking, etc?

calibers you had in mind for thisHG?

overall budget?

off hand, if its a more self def orientated caliber (that can also be cheap to plink w/, say 9mm), then a used ruger, SW, B92, etc would be my bet; heck, if its a .22lr, then a used ruger would still be my bet

Like the M9

Had a 5906 for a long time

trade it in for 6906 and it was even more accurate

all are good
